History of Basketball Shoes

The first ever basketball shoes in the 1920's were Chuck Taylors. Basketball shoes were designed to allow jump high. Converse were popular by all-star basketball players was number one. Every single player wore them but not only players everyone did. In the mid 1980's and the early 1990's Michael Jordan started to put his own name on basketball shoes, the air jordans.

Basketball players still play in Air Jordans, Retro Jordans, not so much with Converse anymore. Many NBA players like Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Lebron James, and Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant and others have their own brand of basketball shoes too.
