In 1891 there was little opportunity for women to participate in athletics. Athletic girls who wanted to play a sport that related more to a guy's sport no one was in favor for that. As everyone started watching the game, girls wanted to play the game as well. While men's basketball was exciting, basketball for women started evolving. Senda Berenson decided to create her own of basketball for women. There were many problems she had distinguish. For example, the game was too rough and she believed women were not suitable for that way of playing. As the years passed by by 1894, basketball was spreading. Its influenced began to spread around the countries. Women's popularity grew and expanded.
